WT Group's Structural Engineering team was able to bring innovation and reliability to a new 8,894 square foot, two-story residence, featuring 7,994 square feet of habitable space, an 857 square foot garage, and 43 square feet of mechanical space, all set on an undeveloped lot. This prestigious home boasts a pool, exterior fountain, roof trellis, and BBQ area, alongside one interior fireplace, two exterior fireplaces, and an outdoor fire pit. Crafted with precision, the superstructure incorporates plywood web floor joists, dimensional lumber, heavy timbers, gable trusses, scissor trusses, and steel. Engineered to withstand challenging soil conditions, the foundation required a stiffened slab-on-grade supported by grade beams, while crawlspaces feature stem walls with conventional strip footings and pedestals over isolated footings.
