Habitat for Humanity

WT Group partnered with Habitat for Humanity to bring a visionary 28-lot single-family residential subdivision to Carpentersville, IL. The project combined thoughtful planning with sustainable design, as WT Group led the architectural design, entitlements, re-platting, and civil engineering while also coordinating with Nicor to create a pioneering “Net Zero” development.

The site presented complex engineering challenges, including wetland mitigation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permitting and coordination, and navigating steep, rugged terrain. Through innovative solutions and collaborative expertise, WT Group’s Civil Engineering team helped transform these challenges into opportunities, delivering a community that balances livability, resilience, and sustainability.
