Munster High School Turf Baseball Field

WT Group’s Civil Engineering team delivered innovative solutions for Munster High School’s athletic facilities with the design of a new synthetic turf baseball outfield for the main baseball field. The project had a fast-tracked timeline, beginning design in August 2024 and completing construction by May 2025 to ensure the field was ready for Spring season play.

To support the new turf, the team conducted a comprehensive stormwater analysis of the entire sports campus, which led to the integration of an underground detention system beneath the field. This solution not only addressed drainage requirements but also ensured long-term durability and performance of the new playing surface.

Looking ahead, Phase 2 of the project is underway, adding a new parking lot and bleachers to enhance accessibility and the overall game-day experience. Construction is scheduled for completion in late 2025.
